The Worshiping Pianist
Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people — Colossians 3:23
Hi, I'm Richard Kingsmore — friends call me Richie. Welcome to The Worshiping Pianist — I’m so glad you’re here!
For more than forty years, I've had the privilege of serving the Church as a composer, arranger, pianist, and worship pastor. Along the way, one truth has become clearer to me than ever:
The most important thing about your playing has nothing to do with your playing.
It has everything to do with your heart.
That's why I created The Worshiping Pianist.
Here you'll find worship piano arrangements, Christian piano sheet music, articles, and practical resources designed to encourage church pianists and worship leaders. Whether you're preparing an offertory, leading congregational worship, or simply spending time with the Lord at your piano, I hope these resources help you worship with greater confidence, freedom, and joy.
Worship Before Performance
Whether you're leading worship on Sunday, playing an offertory, accompanying a choir, serving on a worship team, or playing quietly in your own home, our calling is the same.
We are worshipers first.
Before we ever play for people, we worship before the Audience of One.
When that becomes our focus, the pressure begins to fade. Playing isn't about proving ourselves or delivering a flawless performance. It's about responding to a Savior who is worthy of every note we play.
In a restless world, worship-filled piano music has the power to quietly point hearts to the peace and presence of God.
Who This Is For
Whether you're a church pianist, part of a worship team, a volunteer accompanist, a piano student, or someone who simply loves sitting down at the piano to worship, this place is for you.
I hope you'll discover that your playing matters more than you realize.
Every note offered to Christ brings Him glory—even when no one else is listening.
Music That Serves Worship
Every worship piano arrangement you'll find here is written with one goal in mind: to help you worship while you play.
I want every piece of piano sheet music that I write to feel natural under your hands—not stressful or out of reach—so you're free to focus on the One you're playing for.
Some pianists will improvise. Others will play every note exactly as written.
Both are beautiful.
My prayer is that every arrangement becomes a doorway into worship.
